We bring together fiber selection, knit construction and sample development, drawing on Yuntai’s broader work in functional fabrics and FJORATEX’s focus on wool.
01 — Performance Knits
Starting with how the fabric will be worn.
Weight, hand feel, stretch and structure all matter in a finished garment. We work with wool blends and the wider range of polyester and nylon knits supplied through Yuntai, selecting a direction around the intended use.
We review these requirements with our production partners and agree on the specifications and testing needed for the project.
Construction & Functional Range
Our work covers jersey, rib, piqué, interlock, mesh, spacer and fleece constructions. We consider each structure against the target weight, hand feel and use. Functional requirements are assessed for the selected fabric and verified through agreed testing.

Wicking and moisture transport developed through fiber selection, knit structure, and finishing route.
Quick Dry
Fast-dry performance targeted through construction openness and fiber moisture characteristics.
UV Protection
UV protection can be targeted through fiber selection, construction density, and finishing. Performance is confirmed through testing for each project.
Antibacterial & Odor Control
Developed through fiber selection or finishing, depending on project requirements.
Far-Infrared / Thermal Comfort
Thermal comfort and far-infrared properties developed through specialized fiber and finishing programs.

Four-way stretch and shape retention developed through construction and elastane integration.

Open-knit and mesh constructions for ventilation in panel or full-fabric applications.
02 — Sample-Based Development
A reference swatch is a useful beginning.
A sample helps us understand the structure, weight and feel you have in mind. We review it alongside your specifications and garment application, then discuss suitable fibers and development options with our production partners.
Sampling may include adjustments to construction, hand feel or weight, as well as lab dips for colour. We record the agreed specifications and approvals before bulk production.
The development route and timing depend on the yarn, construction, finishing and testing involved.

03 — Wool & Wool Blends
Wool, with room to explore.
Wool and wool-blend knits are FJORATEX’s main focus. Our range includes wool with nylon, lyocell and elastane in different compositions and weights, for base layers, activewear and everyday clothing.
We work from the feel and construction you need, reviewing samples and specifications together before agreeing on the next development step.

04 — Production Partners
Long-standing relationships, practical coordination.
Based in Suzhou, we work with a network of production partners built through years of textile business. Fabric requirements guide which partners are involved in each project.
We coordinate development and bulk supply with these partners, including external testing where needed. Responsibilities, schedules and certification requirements are agreed for the project.
